What do Free, Paid, Plus and Pro include?
Free: the whole heart of the app — songs, PDFs, scores, View, ID & MIDI, group session, stage screen, tuner and metronome — with ads and an internet connection, plus a 7-day trial of the lessons and tools. Paid (one-time purchase): no ads, and the app works offline. Plus (monthly or yearly): no ads, works offline, all lessons and 300 cloud pages a month; Live Score, chord recognition and the Songbook editor open after a short ad, so they need internet. Pro (monthly or yearly): everything, with those three tools ad-free and offline too, and 900 cloud pages a month. New subscribers get an introductory price for the first period.
How do I restore a purchase on a new or reset device?
Sign in with the same Google or Apple account you bought with, then open Profile → Restore purchases.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Open Profile → Manage subscription, or your Google Play or Apple account settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge.
Does the app work without internet?
With Paid, Plus or Pro, yes — everything on your device works offline. One exception on Plus: Live Score, chord recognition and the Songbook open with a short ad, so they need a connection; on Pro they work offline too. The app needs a connection at least once every 7 days to confirm your plan. The free version needs a connection.
How do I move my songs to a new phone or tablet?
Settings → Create backup, then on the new device Settings → Restore from backup. Backups work between Android, iPhone and iPad.
How do I connect my keyboard or arranger?
Settings → MIDI connections, over USB or Bluetooth. The User guide (Lessons → User guide) explains every step.
What are cloud pages — and why is one PDF free while another costs cloud pages?
Whatever your phone can read by itself is free; whatever needs work from our server uses cloud pages. A PDF with real text (and .txt or ChordPro files) already contains the words, so your phone simply reads them and nothing leaves your device — free, however many pages. A photo or a scanned PDF is only a picture with no letters in it: our server has to look at it and recognise every letter and every chord. A Word file is laid out on our server so it looks exactly like the original. That work has a real cost for every file page, so it counts: 1 file page = 1 cloud page. Before anything is sent, the app tells you how many cloud pages it will use and waits for your yes. Monthly allowance: Free and Paid 3, Plus 300, Pro 900 cloud pages — shown in Profile and renewed every 30 days; you can also earn cloud pages by watching a short ad.
Why does a score from a photo or PDF cost 3 cloud pages per score page?
Turning a printed score into a playable one is a separate and much heavier job than reading text: every note has to be recognised — its pitch, its length, its place in the bar — together with the chords above the staff. So each score page uses 3 cloud pages, on every plan. This applies to score PDFs too, because notes are not text your phone can read. The app shows the exact number before sending, and if nothing is recognised you are not charged. If you only want to see the score as it is, import it as a PDF or image into Files — that is free.
What is the score quality check, and why does it cost 1 cloud page?
Before a score recognition finishes, our server checks whether the photo or file has the quality it needs. If it does not (usually because it is handwritten, blurry, dark or taken at an angle), the app warns you before it finishes that the result would have many mistakes. The check always costs 1 cloud page, because the recognition has already been done on our server in order to judge the quality. If you stop, you are charged only that cloud page. If you continue at your own risk, you are charged as normal (3 cloud pages for each score page, check page included), even if the result does not satisfy you. So take care what you import: recognition is made for printed scores, photographed straight, well lit, the whole page.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling the app deletes everything on your device. To delete the information kept on our server, email us your Account ID.
